Faye Broadway

Faye Kindley Broadway, 76, of Monroe, went home to her Lord and Savior, Monday, December 23, 2019 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte. Faye was born June 25, 1943 in Union County to the late Ovey Roy Kindley and the late Ella Melissa Kindley.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Charles Atlas Broadway; 6 children, Anita Lathan (Ric), Chuck Broadway (Kim), Debra Cunningham, Elizabeth Mullis, Chris Broadway (Kristie), Mitchell Broadway (Candace); 12 grandchildren, Heather (Richard) Cashwell, Matthew Lathan, Chad (Sarah) Broadway, Cody Cunningham, Lauren Mullis, Chase Mullis, Quinton Broadway, Aiden Broadway, Jackson Broadway, Samuel Broadway, Susanna Broadway, Selah Broadway; 3 great grandchildren, Alyssa Cashwell, Atlas Broadway, Vaden Broadway; sisters, Virginia Braswell and Dean Kindley; brother, Robert Kindley.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kizer; brother, Grady Kindley; and son-in-law, Randy Cunningham.
The family will receive friends from  12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC 28107.  The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Herrins Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 29482 Herrin Grove Church Rd., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Faye was a devoted wife of 58 years who shared an unconditional love with her husband and best friend. Faye was a loving mother and homemaker who raised six children on their family farm.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and church. She was always a gracious pastor’s wife and hostess who welcomed guests into her home with an open heart & open arms.  In the summer, she and Charles shared a passion for gardening and canning food for her family was what she loved the most.  She was a dedicated basketball fan of the UNC Tarheels and greatly enjoyed watching their games. She will forever be missed but her legacy lives on in all those she loved so well.
