Mrs. Faye Maxine Mesimer Teal, 80, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at her home. Born on January 5, 1930 in Cabarrus County to the late Sidney Ashby and Mary Barringer Mesimer. She was also preceded in death by her husband Chester "Bill" Teal, Jr., sister Frances Morris and brother Jimmy Mesimer. Mrs. Teal was a loom operator at Cannon Mills. She was a member of Branchview First Church of God, where she volunteered at their hot dog sales each month. She enjoyed baking for friends and family. Faye was well known for her homemade chowchow. She enjoyed making Christmas wreaths for Kiser’s Tree Farm. Faye also worked for Hartsell’s Cleaning Service after her retirement, and was always there to lend a hand to people when they needed it the most. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Branchview First Church of God on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11 am following a 30 min. state, with the Rev. Carlton Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Memorials may be made to Branchview First Church of God 246 Branchview Drive NE Concord, NC 28025 or to Hospice & Pallative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081. Survived by: son, Bobby Teal of Albemarle; daughters, Billie Sue Sells of Richfield, Dee Carter and husband Ken of Kannapolis, Debra Hill and husband Mitchell of Harrisburg; brother, Don Mesimer of Albemarle; sisters, Katherine Lowder of Albemarle, Jean Dale of Morganton, Julia Plott of Concord; grandchildren, Michael & Amanda Sells, Mitchell & Shannon Sells, Brooke Hilton, Andrew Hill, Hollie & Brian Scott, Hope Teal; 9 great-grandchildren.
