Faye Wells

Faye Carolyn Allred Wells, 88, of Concord, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Carolyn was born January 24, 1931 in Greensboro to the late Rev. James Mitchell Allred and the late Mary Phillips Allred.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Paul Clinton Wells; great-grandson, William Mitchell Wells.

During her lifetime, Carolyn served her Lord as a pianist at several churches in NC.  Carolyn enjoyed cross-stitching, reading and caring for children.  She loved family outings to the beach and the mountains and enjoyed cooking for her family.  Carolyn was a loving mother and granny.  She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include daughter, Sherry (Tommy) Welborn of Ronda; daughter, Dianne (Danny) Blackwelder of Concord; son, Mitch (Cindy) Wells of Concord; son, Rev. Jim (Allison) Wells of Placerville, CA; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service will be on Thursday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Ed Hall.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
