Faye Allison (Curtis) David passed away Friday, August 27th, 2021 at the age of 61 along with her husband, Mark William David who passed away Friday, August 20th, 2021 at the age of 69.

Faye was born November 21, 1959 to Leander and Mable (Brumley) Curtis in Mount Stirling, KY.  Faye graduated from Auburn High School and worked as a restaurant Manager until she retired to North Carolina with her husband in 2015.

Mark was born April 19, 1952 to William and Margaret (Novick) David in Springfield, IL. Mark went to Lanphier High School and served in the US army as a Military Policeman from 1972-1973 where he was awarded a national defense service medal and an armed forces expeditionary medal. Mark worked as a chef for Amtrak and retired to North Carolina with his wife in 2015.

Mark loved listening to his extensive CD collection on the loudest setting possible and reading murder mystery books.  He enjoyed the History Channel, watching Marvel Movies, the White Sox, Cardinals, and college basketball. He loved going for walks, decorating at Christmastime, cooking, and writing letters.

Mark is survived by his sister Lisa Fagan, sister Merry Trader, and brother Craig David.

Faye loved listening to country music and reading romance novels. She enjoyed baking, watching sci-fi and Disney movies, and crocheting. She loved shopping online, cuddling with her fur-grandbabies and talking on the phone.

Faye is survived by her brother Bruce Curtis.

They both enjoyed British television mystery shows, specifically Bosh and Sherlock, playing Yahtzee, trying new pizza joints, and spending time with their daughter and son-in-law.

They are both survived by their daughter Casey Rutherford, son-in-law Steven, and fur babies Bullwinkle, Wrigley, and Bane of Charlotte, NC.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 30th 2021 , 1:00 pm - 3:00pm at the K.C. Lake Club, 141 North Lakewood Drive, Chatham,IL 62629.  As this is a Celebration of Life, the family asks that you do not wear black, but instead wear the things that Faye and Mark enjoyed (Disney t-shirts, band t-shirts, Hawaiian button ups, funny Walmart saying shirts, and blue jeans). The family also asks that you respect their wishes and follow COVID-19 safety precautions if planning to attend (Please be vaccinated, masked, and maintain social distancing). Food
will be provided.
