Felicia Hutzel

Felicia Hutzel of Huntersville, NC (formerly of Long Island, NY) passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2021.

Born June 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine Motto and preceded also in death by her siblings, Joseph, Nicholas and Rosemarie.

She married John Hutzel in June 1953 at St. Leo’s Church in Corona, NY.  John preceded her in death December 2007.  The couple was married 54 years and had 6 children, Linda (Charles), John (Phyllis), Edward (Lynn Marie), Steven (Debra), Ronald (Deborah), Nicholas (Timothy).  Felicia was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, Felicia loved playing cards with her friends, going to BINGO, watching her Yankees play and most of all spending time cooking and being with her family.  No-one ever left her house hungry.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord and she will be laid to rest during a private committal service at Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island, New York.

In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Felicia’s favorite Foundation - St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
