Felton Hatley

Felton Corley Hatley, age 83, of Stanfield, N.C., died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Britthaven of Piedmont, Albemarle. Hatley was employed by Allison Manufacturing and was a member of Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Chutch. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the military police while in Germany. Born in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Moses Hatley and the late Mary Mirintha (Whitley) Hatley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Verla Mae McCoy Hatley, brothers, Vonnie Hatley and Thadus Hatley and sisters, Vera Hatley and Vernia Hatley He is survived by his Brother-Harvey Wayne Hatley and wife, Karen of Oakboro, N.C. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland, PO Box 100, Midland, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel - Midland at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2009 , Elder Ted Morton officiating. Interment will be at Love's Grove UMC Cemetery in Stanfield, N.C.
