Flave Brooks

Flave E Brooks, age 79 of 331 W. 11th Street, Oakboro, NC, passed away on December 02, 2010 at Lutheran Home of Albemarle. A service will be held Saturday, December 4th at 4 PM at First Baptist Church of Oakboro. He was born in Stanly County on January 09, 1931 to the late Calvin and Carrie Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Brooks; his sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Faye Purl, Louise McDaniel, and Elaine Mills; and his step son, Mark Anthony Williams. Mr. Flave E Brooks is survived by his spouse Elaine Brooks of the home; his son, Mark Brooks of Toronto, Canada; his daughter-in-law, Debbie Brooks also of Toronto, Canada; his step-daughter, Lisa Cratty and husband Tim of Oakboro; his brothers, C.T. Brooks Jr and wife Virginia of Mint Hill, Bob Brooks and wife Gail of Concord, Jim Brooks and wife Jan of Illinois; his sisters, Bryte Faggart and husband Melvin of Kannapolis, Frances Summerell of Kannapolis; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church of Oakboro, 322 N. Main Street Oakboro, NC 28129.
