Flora Huneycutt

Flora Margaret Johnson Huneycutt formerly of 175 Lee Street in Richfield passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at the home of her son, Wayne Huneycutt. Born May 23, 1910 in Anson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Calvin “TC” Johnson and the late Mary Margaret Jones Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Alfred Huneycutt, Sr. in 1978; siblings, Eddie Mae Efird, Gwendolyn Johnson, TC Johnson, Rachel Wetsel, Fannie Menefee, Vivian DeVane, Louise Everidge and Britian Johnson. A homemaker, she was one of the oldest members of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. She was also a past member of the Richfield Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by her sons; Carl A. Huneycutt, Jr. and wife Lillian of Richfield, Wayne Huneycutt and wife Sue of New London, and Larry C. Huneycutt and wife Nancy of New London; daughter, Ms. Wanda Kaye Huneycutt Hall of Richfield ; brother Hugh Johnson of Plant City, Fl.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Huneycutt, Kenneth Huneycutt, Karen Myers, Michael Huneycutt, Susan Morris, Phillip Huneycutt, Natalie Smith, Margaret Porter and Elizabeth Chamis; great grandchildren; Joshua Myers, Brandon Myers, Samantha Morris, Jason Aldridge, Jacob Aldridge, Drake Porter and Stone Porter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8, Tuesday, March 16 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. At other times, they will be at the home of a son, Wayne Huneycutt, 32603 Austin Road, New London. Funeral service will be at 4 PM, Wednesday, March 17 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Graham Nahouse and Rev. John Kahl officiating. Burial will be in Richfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 111 E.
