Florence Scully

Florence Alice Klein Scully, 96, passed away on December 12,2020 at her home in Concord, NC.

Florence was born on January 13, 1924, to the late John and Emma (Schulz) Klein. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband Robert, brothers William Klein, and Richard Klein; sisters-in-law Muriel Klein, and Mary Scully; and grandson, Christopher Scully.

Florence grew up and went to school in Manchester CT. after High School she worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where she met her husband Robert C. Scully. She also worked as a secretary at Assumption Catholic School in Manchester, CT. Florence married Robert in 1950 in Manchester CT. They were happily married for 56years. When Robert transferred to Florida as an employee of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, they lived there for 27years. Florence loved volunteering at a second hand store and at the local VA. When Robert became ill, they moved back to East Hartford, CT. to be near family. When Robert passed, Florence then chose to live with her oldest son and daughter-in-law in Concord, NC. Florence enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles,crosswords, flower arranging, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She truly loved playing cards with her family.

Florence is survived by her sons, Charles(Marianne) Scully, of Concord, NC, Thomas (Diane) Scully, of  Conway, SC., Timothy(Mary)Scully of Loris, SC., and James (Debbie) Scully, of East Hartford, CT.; grandchildren Beth Andresen(Jon) of Vernon, CT., Kim Scully-Kirkpatrick (Meredith) of Somers, CT., Lisa Roman (Michael) of Tolland,CT., Dana Scully, of Loris, SC.; great-grandchildren Kaylin Blais, Andrew Blais, and Isabella Andresen, of Vernon, CT., Jocelyn Randall, of Somers, CT., Makayla Houle(Kevin) of Tolland, CT., Matthew Roman and Olivia Roman, of Tolland,CT., and Mason Scully, of Loris, SC; 2 great-great children, Thomas and Christopher Houle, of Tolland, CT. Florence is also Survived by sister-in-law Dolores Klein, of Venice, FL. nieces, nephews and other relatives.
