Floyd Morgan

Floyd Junior “Pete” Morgan, 74, of N. Beverly Drive, Locust, passed away December 11, 2009, at his home. Mr. Morgan was born in Stanly County on November 26, 1935, to the former Henry William Morgan and Virginia Hager Morgan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Renilda Hinson Morgan. He worked on the Ground Crew for Mecklenburg County Schools. Survivors include his half sister, Gail Morgan Whitley of Mt. Pleasant; step brother, Jerry Dean Page of Oakboro; step mother, Geneva Page Morgan of Mt. Pleasant; and sisters in law, Arwilda Williams of Locust and Blanche Harvell of Midland. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, December 14, 11:00 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland officiated by Dr. Darrell Nance.
