Floyd Osborne

Floyd Lester Osborne, 68 of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at High Point Regional Hospital in Greensboro, after 3 years of declining health. He was born on October 24, 1943 in Cabarrus County, to the late Floyd Lester Osborne and Margaret Carter Osborne. He was also preceded in death by his sister Betty Starrett. Lester was employed with Wal-Mart in Marietta, GA for eleven years. He was thought of as a special and loving father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, brother, and brother-in-law. A memorial service will be held at Forest Hill Baptist Church 2003 Willis Long Road, Monroe on Sunday, February 26th at 4 pm, with Preacher Neal Workman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. He is survived by: daughter, Lisa Brown Franklin and husband Ray of Monroe; step-daughter, Deborah Wyatt and husband Gary of Rockwell; brother, Wilson Osborne of Kannapolis; sister, Tacetal Shofield of Kannapolis; nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
