Fodie Furr

Fodie Louise Clontz Furr, 79, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center - Northeast. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Friday, July 6, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Bruce Pope, will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times the family will meet at the home on Wendover Road in Concord. Fodie was born on July 9, 1932, to the late John Lester Clontz and the late Bessie Jane Wilson Clontz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, J. B. Price and her second husband, Carl Junior Furr; a son, Michael L. Price; three sisters, Thelma Allen, Dean Price, and Verla Honeycutt; and three brothers, Bland Clontz, Harold Clontz and Hoyl “Buck” Clontz. She is survived by a son, Danny J.B. Price; a brother, Merles Clontz; two grandchildren, Karen Lynn Faggart and Danny Jason Price; and three great-grandchildren, Kristen, Breyden and Hunter. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Furr family.
