Foy K. "Boe" Horton, 88, of Concord, NC died Wednesday evening, November 15, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Horton was born Wednesday, April 3, 1929 in Concord, NC to the late Thomas C. and Mabel L. Taylor Horton. On June 17, 1946, in South Carolina, he married his loving wife of 58 years, the former Mildred Virginia Gray, who died May 26, 2004. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Horton is preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael Ray Horton and his grandson, CW3, Frank A. Buoniconti, who died during military maneuvers on December 12, 2012. He is also preceded in death by his five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his devoted son, Eddie (Marlene) Horton; his sister, Sue (Roy) Hill, both of Concord; four grandchildren, Kryste Buoniconti, Stephanie Howard, Melody Moore and Crystal Abdaloa; six great-grandchildren, Zoe, Ronin, Liam, Savannah, Landon and Mason.
The family will receive guests Saturday evening, November 18, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Buck Canupp officiating. Mr. Horton will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC following the chapel service.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Horton to the Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC. 28081.
