Frances Black

Frances K. Black, 102, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

Frances was born September 25, 1916 in Baldwin, Long Island, NY to the late William and Ellen Kelly.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Robert M. Black.

Frances was a loving mother and devoted Catholic.  She was very kind and caring, always putting others before herself.

Survivors include son, Michael Black of Concord; daughter, Kathy Black of Charlotte; nieces and nephews; and close friends Delores Glover and Melba Adams.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home's Chapel in Harrisburg.  The Vigil will be held at 8:00 pm Thursday evening.  The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Chapel in Harrisburg, officiated by Deacon Joseph Diaz.  Burial will follow at 3:30 pm at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte.
