Frances Garmon

Frances Austin Garmon, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at her home in Concord.

She was born February 23, 1928 in Raleigh to the late Robert and Ethel Austin. Mrs. Garmon was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brice Garmon; brothers, Robert and James Austin; sisters, Margaret Mullis, Elizabeth Preslar, and Mary Jean Miller.

Mrs. Garmon was a member of Center United Methodist Church. She retired from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital as a respiratory therapist. She was such a loving and giving lady, always putting others first. Mrs. Garmon was a blessing to those who knew her and a true southern lady. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by daughter, Denise Garmon Stowe; sons, Kevin (Amy) Garmon and Roger Garmon; grandsons, Cal Garmon and Ritchie Broome; great-grandsons, Dylan and Chandler Broome; and sister Evelyn Jackson.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Center United Methodist Church, 1119 Union St. S, Concord, officiated by Rev. Tony Allen. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Garmon will be laid to rest immediately following the service in the church cemetery.
