Frances Greene Hinson

Frances Greene Hinson,74, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her daughter's home in Oakboro.

Frances was born July 6, 1949 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Dowd Franklin Greene and Nell Greene. She was also preceded in death by her husband Terry F. Hinson.

Frannie was a vibrant and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and confidant. She lived a full life owning businesses, playing music, traveling, and creating special memories for everyone lucky enough to be around her. Her passion and big personality cultivated many strong relationships and she will never be forgotten in Frog Pond. 

A Memorial service will be at 2pm on Sunday, October 29,2023 at St Martin Lutheran Church in Albemarle officiated by Pastor Phil Thorsen. 

Survivors include daughter, Michelle Lambert, and her children, Ryan Foreman, Kaileigh (Dylan)Russelburg, great-grandchild Dawson; son, Terry (Kina) Hinson, Jr., and his children, Beau and Gavin Hinson.

Memorials may be made to St Martin’s Lutheran Church, 16592 St Martin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001, and the Roy M. Hinson Cancer Center, 945 N 5th St, Albemarle, NC 28001.
