Mary Frances Huneycutt, 89, of Locust, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Huneycutt was born February 25, 1932, to the late Hugh and Riller Hinson Almond. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Billie Reece Huneycutt; sisters, Ora Lee (Hollis) Reid, "Deanie" (Ron) Barbee; brother, Odell (Lorene) Almond.
Frances co-owned RDR Incorporated with her husband Reece, serving as the secretary for 50 plus years. She served as a Preschool Sunday School Teacher at Mission Baptist Church, sang in the Choir, and served in many other capacities throughout her life. Frances loved her family, enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and traveling to the beach. She simply loved life!
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Mission Baptist Church, 12444 Mission Church Road, Locust, officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Frances is survived by her sons, Danny R. (Barbara) Huneycutt, Eddie R. (Koni) Huneycutt, Todd W. (Lori) Huneycutt; grandchildren, Chad (Meredith) Huneycutt, Bart Huneycutt, William (Katie) Huneycutt, Emily (Daniel) Smith; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Logan, Kamdyn, Karmyn, and Katelyn Huneycutt; brother, Mike Almond; sister, Pat (Nathan) Osborne
