Frances Decker Parrish, 91, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at The Laurels in Highland Creek in Charlotte.
Mrs. Parrish was born February 21, 1930 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to the late Ernest Decker and the late Grace Deal Decker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woodrow Parrish.
Survivors include son, Bruce (Carol) Parrish of Concord, NC, Grandchildren, Mary-Louise (Mike) Foss, Benjamin (Jacque) Price, Great grandchildren, James Foss, Piper Price, Lucas Foss.
Frances dedicated her life to the medical community where she worked as a R.N. for over 45 years. She worked with the children at Holy Angels, Belmont, NC, served the patients at Highlands Psychiatric Hospital, Asheville, NC; and spent over 30 years managing the clinical medical care for Duval County Detention Center, Jacksonville, Florida. She loved to travel to Arizona and Utah and was an authority on precious minerals and rocks. She had a plethora of knowledge on the Cherokee Indians and was an avid reader.
