Frances Poulos

Frances Thomas Poulos, 76 of 7171 Queens Road, Stanfield, NC, passed away on May 30, 2011 at her home in Stanfield. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 3pm until 4pm. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 4pm with Frank Bass officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanfield. Mrs. Poulos was born July 27, 1934, to the late Waylon Watson Thomas and Katie Holland Woods Thomas. She is also preceded in death by her husband, George Poulos and daughter, Kay Poulos. Mrs. Poulos is survived by her sons, Steve Poulos of Fairview, George Angelo Poulos and wife Stacy of Concord, Chris Poulos of Stanfield; daughters, Gina Poulos of Richmond, VA., Penny Poulos-Bass and husband Frank of Midland; one brother, Franklin Thomas of Sanford, Fl, and one sister, Doris Gregory of Sanford, NC;10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of NC, 5315 Greenbrook Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Poulos family.
