Frances Ruth Gray, 89, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at Clear Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.
Frances was born November 8, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Grady Eugene Simpson and the late Clara Simpson. She was also preceded in death by husband Leonard Young Gray, brother Donald Simpson, and sister Shirley Plummer.
Frances was an expert seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm, Friday, June 7, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord officiated by Rev. Marvin Tyson. Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery at 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
Survivors include daughter, Tonda Dorton (Mike) of Concord, NC, son, Douglas Almond (Roxane)of Mount Pleasant, NC, daughter, Kim Smith(Monty) of Locust, NC, son, Richard Almond (Dee) of Concord, NC, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, sisters Joyce Starnes, and Lynn Fink, brothers Warren Simpson, and Dwight Simpson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be shared to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
