Francis Pigeon

Francis “Frank” Bernard Pigeon, 74, of Stanfield, NC, passed away November 11, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center, Concord, NC. Mr. Pigeon was born November 15, 1935, in Canada. He was preceded in death by hisfather, Francis Pigeon and mother, Corrine Smith Pigeon. He was a truck driver for Otis Elevator and a member of Love’s Grove United Methodist Church, Stanfield. The visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. At other times, the family will meet at his home. The funeral will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m., with a 30 minute state, at Love’s Grove United Methodist Church, Stanfield, officiated by Rev. Jim White and Rev. Coy Blackman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Pigeon, of the home; two sons, two daughters, and five grandchildren of Canada; step-daughters, Windy Plummer of Oakboro, Melissa Simpson of Charlotte, Sonya Wilson of Locust; and six step-grandchildren.
