Frank Bongiovanni

Frank Vincent Bongiovanni, 86, of Concord, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, surrounded by his family at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

Frank was born March 7, 1936 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Lucy (Eracitano) Bongiovanni.

After graduating from high school, Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served as a Loadmaster.  Upon leaving the Air Force, he continued his service to the country as a member of the National Guard.  Frank’s professional career included 24 years as a maintenance electrician at a Nabisco factory in Niagara Falls.  He was a very skilled and passionate electrical tradesman and passed his knowledge on to his children and grandchildren.  Even in his retirement, he spent much time in the homes and businesses of his family assisting with all types of electrical needs.  Frank was a lifelong learner and took great pride in helping his children and grandchildren learn and grow.   He loved working in his garden and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara (Marchetti) Bongiovanni of Concord, NC; son, Michael Bongiovanni and his wife Ursula; son, David Bongiovanni; daughter, Kristen Hoyt and her husband Jason; sister, Gail (Bongiovanni) Capaldi; grandchildren Kara Savoia and her husband Anthony; Eliot Bongiovanni, Justin Hoyt, Franceska Bongiovanni, and Andrew Bongiovanni.  His passing precedes the birth of his first great grandchild Savoia.
