Frank Patterson, Jr

Frank Bernard Patterson, Jr., 92 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.

Mr. Patterson was born February 26, 1924 in Albemarle to the late Frank Bernard Patterson and wife, Elizabeth A. Patterson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Patterson .

A graveside service will be on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle officiated by Rev. Ruth Ann Sipe.

Frank attended public schools in Albemarle and graduated from Albemarle High School. Following high school, he attended Lenoir Rhyne College. He was employed and retired from Wiscassett Mills in Albemarle and was always dependable in attendance and punctuality. He often walked from the family home on Pee Dee Avenue to Wiscassett Mills.

Frank was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church, Albemarle and was faithful with his attendance, participation and support of church activities. For many years, Frank was a member of the church choir and Lutheran Men. Additionally, he served as a member of the Congregational Council. He was a longtime member of the Albemarle Civitan Club. Additionally he was a wonderful neighbor and proud resident of the Pee Dee Historical District.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, 220 South Second Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
