Franklin Key, Jr

Franklin D. Key, Jr., 55, of Concord, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm at New Harvest Church 7155 Hickory Ridge Road Harrisburg on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm, with Rev. Michael Parks officiating. Franklin was born on May 26, 1956 in Mecklenburg County. He was a graduate of CPCC and UNCC . He later worked for Consolidated Freightways in Charlotte. Frank was a very talented musician. He loved God, his wife and his family with all his heart. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Angela Parker Key of the home; parents, Franklin D. Key, Sr and Patsy Ruth Fox Key of Concord; sons, Jeremy Allen Key of Concord and Michael “Buddy” Cook and wife Charlene of Stanfield; daughters, Krystal Key Cradduck of Concord and Patti C. Burns and husband Ken of Harrisburg; sister, Debbie Kincinski of Salisbury; grandchildren, Ayden and Emma Wages, Jacob, Luke, and McKenna Burns, Nicolas, Elijah, Dylan, and Abby Cook; nephew, Geoff Bumgardner; aunts, Linda Burgess, Nancy Hagler, Betty Woods all of Concord, Faye Baker of Charlotte; uncle, Dan Fox and wife Juanita; and many cousins.
