Fred Barbee

Fred Alexander Barbee, age 79 of 24455 Helms Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001, passed away on April 15, 2010 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle. He was born in Stanly County on June 19, 1930. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie Morris Barbee, his father, Silas Barbee. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Lambert Barbee of Albemarle; daughter, Jan Taylor and husband Tommy of Wadesboro; son, Doug Barbee and wife Susan of Albemarle; grandchildren, Patrick Taylor and wife Sandy of Durham; Brad Taylor and wife Lisa of Wadesboro; Heather Barbee, Jon Barbee and wife Tiffany and Heidi Barbee Jacobi and husband Nick, all of Albemarle; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Barbee and sisters, Kathleen Bowers, and Helen Burleson, all of Albemarle. There will be an informal visitation at his home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010. There will also be a visitation at the church fellowship hall after the service on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Funeral service will be Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Canton Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mabry officiating. Burial will follow at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery.
