Fred Owens

Fred Odell Owens of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Fred was born April 12, 1950 in Stanly County to the late Fred Junior Owens and the late Annie Simpson Owens. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by sister Betty Lue.

Fred enjoyed fishing, old cars and music. He loved to take vacations to the beach and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday February 9, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, February 10, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, 522 N. Second St, Albemarle. Burial will follow at White Crest Baptist cemetery, 1051 River road, Mt. Gilead, NC.

He is survived by wife, Millie Steen Owens, sons; Junior Owens, Stanly Sullivan, Johnny Owens, and Dewayne Owens; special nephew, Michael Eudy; grandchildren, Christan Owens, Joshua Owens, Keith Owens, Daniel Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Kyle Sullivan, Johnny Owens Junior, Christopher Owens, Johnathan Owens, Justice Owens LeGrand; many nieces and nephews; special great niece, Marley Burgos; brothers, Jesse Owens, Gary Owens; and sisters, Margaret Owens, Claudine Owens, Marlene Hartsell, Pearlene Owens, Annie Eudy, all of Albemarle.
