Frederica "Lynn" Smith

Frederica "Lynn" Smith, 89, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Lynn was born April 2, 1932 in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late John Dick and the late Florence Edwards.

Lynn was a loving mother and grandmother.  Although she was stern, Lynn had a funny personality, and made everyone laugh.  She was also very spiritual and loved to dance.

Survivors include daughter, Silvany Cardoza of Concord; granddaughter, Lorraine James and husband, Oneil, of Concord; granddaughter, Eleanor Barker of New York; grandson, Rudolph Barker and wife, Sophia, of Charlotte; six great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Wright and husband, GG, of New York; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
