Frederick Rothe

Frederick Allan Rothe, age 76, of New London, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at CMC- NorthEast. The memorial service, officiated Rev. Jacqueline Tookey and Rev. Michael McClellan, will be held at Salem United Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00am. Mr. Rothe was born on March 12, 1937, to the late Francis Henry Rothe and the late Anna Rothe. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Rothe; and a grandson, Luke Thompson. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Alice Marie Rothe; a daughter, Anna Walker and husband Nelson of Albemarle; son, Frank Rothe and wife Theresa of Vermont; daughter, Debbie Clough and husband Dale of New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Jason Clough, Adam Rothe, Joshua Hawley, Zachary Hawley and Christopher Hawley; a brother, Richard Rothe of Richfield. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Fred was a member of Salem United Methodist Church for 18 years and the Millingport Men's Club. He was also a member of Stanly County Senior Center, and the Big Oak Coon Club.
