Freida Fisher

Freida B. Fisher, 89 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at her residence in Concord. Ms. Freida was born March 6, 1925 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Carl D. and Lectie A. Blackwelder . She was the widow of J. Marshall Fisher. She was also preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters . The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday June 1, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at West Concord Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Rev. Mike Farley. Mrs. Fisher will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service . Entombment will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. She is survived by a son, Barry Dale Fisher, and wife Karen of Concord; and two grandsons B.J. Fisher and wife Jennifer, and Brett Fisher and wife Whitney Freida was a member of West Concord Baptist Church and operated the Playland Daycare. She loved to travel and had been to more than forty countries. She also loved to cook, garden and can her own food; She loved her family and dogs very much.
