Gary Huneycutt, Sr

Gary Melvin Huneycutt, Sr. 62, of Concord passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Universal Healthcare in Concord. Born on December 28, 1948 in Stanly County to the late Marvin Hubert Matthew Huneycutt and Ethel Gertrude Whitley Huneycutt. Gary worked in the dye house for Collin’s and Aikman in Albemarle. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 10 until 11 AM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 11 AM, with Rev. Richard Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Oakboro Cemetery. He is survived by: son, Gary Melvin Huneycutt, Jr. and wife Yelena of Charlotte; daughters, Melodye Savage and husband Jerry of Concord and Patty Sager and husband Pete of Mooresboro; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Morton, Madison Leigh Self, Gary M. Huneycutt, III, and James Barry Huneycutt; brothers, Larry Huneycutt of Albemarle, David Huneycutt of Polkton, and sister Delores Thompson of Norwood.
