Gary Randall

Gary Lamar Randall, 79, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Mr. Randall was born September 4, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Sammy McLeod Randall and the late Blanch Baldwin Randall. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Bartlett.

Gary was a lay preacher licensed in 1972. He loved going to the mountains particularly the Gatlinburg area. Gary's favorite dessert was banana pudding and he loved his Boston Terrier, Bullet.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2019  at 1:00 PM at Open Door Baptist Church, 24639 NC-49 A in Richfield officiated by Pastor Nathan Hammill, Pastor Wayne Richardson, and Pastor Flynn Richardson. Mr. Randall will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main Street in Albemarle.

Survivors include wife of 60 years, Ruby Louise Randall of Albemarle; son, Bruce Alan Randall and wife Tammy of New London; daughter, Bonnie Randall Webb of Albemarle; sisters, Elaine Bowles of Advance; Nancy Williams of Mocksville and Betty Ijmes of Mocksville; and grandchildren, David Alan Randall and Nicholas Alan Randall.
