Gary Reynolds

Gary Paul “Red” Reynolds, 69, of Locust, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Reynolds was born August 25, 1943 in Fulton County, Georgia to the late Paul Leonard Reynolds, Jr. and Nell Pearl Reynolds Huguley. Following his service with the United States Air Force, he began a career with AT&T as a Communications Technician, at the Stanfield and Charlotte locations, which lasted over 30 years. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Marshville and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 6302 Lawyers Rd. E., Marshville. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sue Curlee Reynolds of the home; his daughter, Pam Frew and her husband, David, of Fort Mill, S. C.; his son, Paul Reynolds and his wife, Amber, of Oakboro; his daughter, Susan Almond and her husband, Greg, of Locust; his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Connor Frew, Nathan and Nick Reynolds, and Noah and Natalie Almond; his brother, Robert Reynolds and wife, Sue; his sisters, Peggy Bechtle and husband, John, and Martha Hammond and husband, Mike; and nine nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 6302 Lawyers Rd. E., Marshville, NC 28103. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Reynolds family.
