Gary Winston Sells, Jr.

Gary Winston Sells, Jr., 66, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital.

Gary was born April 8, 1957, in North Carolina to Gary Winston Sells, Sr. and the late Betty Ritchie Hinson. 
He was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The memorial service will follow on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Jonathan Galloway, Elder Malcom Reeves, and Rev. Eddie Biles. 

Survivors include wife of 44 years, Marie Smith Sells of the home, his children and grandchildren, his father, and 3 sisters.

Gary was a roofer in Stanly County for 26 years. He loved fishing, golfing, and most of all raising gamecocks. He adored his grandchildren and was an awesome father and husband. He will be dearly missed.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
