Gary Townsend

Gary Douglas Townsend, 66 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.

Gary was born February 22, 1951 in Stanly County to the late Clarence Vernell "C.V." Townsend and the late Hazel Gilmer Townsend.

The memorial service will be on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 6:00pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle and will be officiated by Dr. Andy Jung.

Survivors include: His faithful chocolate Labrador, Dutch; three brothers, Robert "Bob" (Penny) Townsend of Albemarle, Butch (Carol) Townsend of Albemarle, and Mark (Donna) Townsend of Albemarle; four nieces, Greta (Gary) Aguirre, Beth Townsend, Amber Townsend, and Summer Herlocker; and nephew, John Mark Townsend.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Townsend family.
