Gary Williams

Gary Arnell “Pete” Williams, 64, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6 until 8 PM. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Steve Pennington, will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Capel on Friday, September 28th at 2 PM. Military honors will be conducted by United States Marine Corps. Born on February 25, 1948, he was the son of the late Kenneth Black Williams and the late Ramona Troutman Williams. He was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Brian Williams. He is survived by his wife Wanda Moore Williams of the home; son, Timothy Scott Williams and wife Ashley and their children, Kayla and Timothy, “T.J.” and his late son’s daughter, Hayley; four stepdaughters; Michelle Edwards and her husband Robert; Jennifer Flantos and husband Paul, Christina Linker and husband Chad, Tamara Foy and husband Ricky; 14 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. He loved his family more than anything and took such joy in them. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1967 to 1971 and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was retired from the city of Charlotte. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. They made his last days comfortable and were so kind and caring. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Williams family.
