Gary Winslow

Gary Wayne Winslow, 71, of Concord, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at home in Concord.

Wayne was born October 29, 1950, in North Carolina to the late Winford Arlie Winslow and the late Wilma Idell Winslow.
He was also preceded in death by son, Wayne Thomas of Concord and grandson Michael Dorrance of Colorado.

The family will receive friends from 6pm - 8pm on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2022, at 1pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Reverend Don Burleyson.  Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park off highway 29 in Concord.

Wayne was a wonderful son, husband, father, pawpaw and friend to many. Some of his favorite hobbies included going to the beach and fishing, working on cars, and his love for motorcycles, and tinkering on many projects (most left undone).  Wayne was a great storyteller to his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.  He was a hard worker and a very strong man that would give his all in everything that he did.  Wayne owned his own mobile home business for many years which he would transport and have his children help set up.  He also hauled cars and then worked for Greenway after which he retired and continued to tinker on those undone projects.
Wayne passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord and his family which was waiting for him.

Survivors include wife, Robin Winslow of Concord, NC; daughters Judy Sherrill of Concord, Rebecca Martinez and husband Javier of Concord, NC, April Glessner and husband Joshua of Concord, NC; a special mother-in-law Shirley "Granny" Stewart; grandchildren Nathan Travis, Carlos Guzman Jr., Nichole Hutchinson, Kristana Fisk, Isaac Guzman, Kassidy Gugliotti, Mason Glessner, Kole Thomas, Hailey Glessner and Kody Thomas; great-grandchildren,  Ava Guzman and Brian Guzman, Landon Travis and Liam Travis, Kyler Guzman and Josiah "JoJo" Guzman, Giannah "GiGi Gugliotti and Michael "Leio" Gugliotti.
