Gaston Lowder, Jr

Gaston Delmar Lowder, Jr., 71, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly.

Junior was born November 29, 1945 in Stanly County to the late Gaston Delmar Lowder, Sr. and the late Mary Lois Bowers. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Gaynell Lowder Lowery; and sister, Shirley Burleyson.

The family received friends on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann Lowder of the home; sons, Junior Dwight Lowder and wife Teresa of Albemarle, Kenneth Wayne Lowder of Albemarle; brother, Steve Lowder of Albemarle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and special friends, Holly and Lee Melton.

Junior was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved spending time with his family and pets. He also enjoyed flying model airplanes.
