Gaven Mebane Alexander, 76 years of age, of Concord, NC passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Concord. Mr. Alexander proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Gaven was born November 4, 1940 in Montgomery County, NC to the late Guy Wilson Alexander and the late Helen Bruton Alexander. He was also preceded in death by his brother Wilson Alexander; and sister Jane Catherine Alexander; and his special dog Jessie James.
Survivors include daughter, Stephanie Alexander Stewart and husband William of Concord, NC; daughter, Sharion "Mebane" Alexander Shore of Mt. Airy, NC; granddaughter Peyton Stewart; grandsons Garrett and Dillon Shore; brother Michael Alexander of Mt. Gilead, NC; sister Cynthia Brown of Taylors, SC; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the fellowship hall at Rocky River Presbyterian Church in Concord. The memorial service will follow at 11:00am in the sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Neil Carter.
