Gaynell Porter

Gaynell Esther Sehorn Porter, 89, of Concord, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel at 2:00 p.m. and burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Ms. Porter was born on February 22, 1922, to the late Joseph Edward Sehorn and the late Alice Jeanette Myers Sehorn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wilson Porter and two brothers, Melvin and Harold Sehorn. She is survived by four daughters, Judy P. Furr and husband, Eddie of Mt. Pleasant, Joyce P. Brammer of Rockwell, Alice Jane Porter and Robin Jeanette Porter of Salisbury; a sister, Helen Sehorn Carter of Lexington; six grandchildren, Sarah Domina, Seth Furr, Amber Bost, Andrew Barr, Bennett Porter and Deana Palmer; and two great-grandchildren.
