Gene Ray McAnulty, Sr.

Gene Ray McAnulty, 88, of Concord, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mr. McAnulty was born January 28, 1935 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Pauline Estelle McAnulty. 
He was also preceded in death by his son, Gene Ray McAnulty Jr. and his daughter, Sherri Jane Steele.

He was a charter member of the South Concord/Remedy Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Remedy Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Church in Concord. Services will be officiated by Rev. Alex Howard and Rev. Troy Beaver. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery at 5340 Flowes Store Road, Concord.

Survivors include wife, Janie Elizabeth McAnulty of Concord, NC, grandchildren, Jeffrey Harkey and spouse Rachel Siminoski, Tasha Johnson and spouse Jason Johnson and Addyson McAnulty; Also surviving are great grandchildren, Mina Allyn Harkey, Jefferson Clark Harkey, Graham Joseph Harkey  and Willa Jane Harkey. Mr. McAnulty is also survived by his two brothers, Earl McAnulty and Lewis McAnulty of Concord.
