Gene Allen Webb

Gene Allen Webb, 76, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Gene was born April 23, 1948 in North Carolina to the late Homer Robert Webb and the late Martha Malenda Webb. 

Also proceeded in death by; grandson, Tyler Smith; granddaughter, Amanda Smith.

Survivors include wife, Katherine C. Webb of Concord, NC; two sisters, Mary and Shirley; daughter, Dawn Webb, daughter, Melissa Steen; son, Tim Webb, son, Christopher Lee Sedgwick; grandchildren, Benjamin Steen, Rebecca Steen, Charles Treece, Sklya Smith, JT Webb, and six greatgrandchildren.

The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Broadus Church in Concord officiated by Paster Rodney Quensenberry.

He was an avid Nascar fan and his passions were cars, music, wrestling, and the animated character, Taz. He was known as the neighborhood handyman. He always had his tools and advice handy. His laughter was contagious and his sense of humor was legendary. He will be missed greatly by his best friend, Louie Riggs, of over forty years. The good times and memories that they shared will never be forgotten. He doted on and took great care of his beloved wife Kathy, who he always called his better half. His love, kindness, and support was always extended to his friends and neighbors and anyone he met. He was also very close to his neighbors, Doug and Brenda Bundy always calling Doug brother. The loss of his presence is immensely felt by all.
