Geneva Barbee

Margaret Geneva Eudy Kiser Barbee, 88 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at Morningside Assisted Living in Concord.

Geneva was born March 26, 1926 in North Carolina to the late Dolphus and Ada Herrin Eudy. She was also preceded in death by husbands Homer Kiser and Ed C Barbee, two sons Danny and Richard Barbee, four sisters Betha Mae Kiser, Lamer Efird, Esther Herlocker and Laura Smith, three brothers Paul, Gurley and Leebert Eudy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord . Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery on Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Kiser and wife Teresa and Ron Kiser and wife Sharon. Four grandchildren Jaren Kiser and wife Andree, Todd Kiser, Philip Kiser and Marci Simeon and husband Paul. Four great grandchildren Riley Kiser, Reese Kiser, Carter Simeon and Layla Simeon.

Geneva was a member of Concord First Assembly and was the previous owner of Barbee's Beauty shop and later working and retiring from Jackson Training School. We would like to thank all of the staff of Morningside of Concord for their love and care of Geneva. She loved and appreciated all the care she received.
