Geneva Hartsell

Geneva Mae Yow Hartsell, 93 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Geneva was born October 2, 1920 in Stanly County to the late John Adam Yow and the late Saphronia Arabelle Whitley Yow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Cletus Hartsell; and son, Dwight Hartsell.

The graveside service will be at 3 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Oakboro Cemetery. She will lie in state at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle Tuesday from 4 pm to 6 pm.

She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Kenneth Smith, Barbara Morton Furr, Melvin Hartsell, Terry and Sheila Hartsell, and June Cranford and Tony Cranford; and numerous cousins.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
