Genoal Talbert Hinsdale, 79, of Winston Salem, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Genoal was born February 3, 1941 in Stanly County to the late Baine and Beulah Talbert.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Holston; sister, Sheila Jo Mullis; and nephew, Shawn Mullis.

Genoal graduated Albemarle High School and Kings College, Charlotte.  She retired as a medical transcriptionist from Baptist Hospital.  Genoal was a very active member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Tobaccoville, where she was a choir director, pianist and organist.  She was an avid book reader and collector and also a talented seamstress.  Most of all, she was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 E Main St, Albemarle, officiated by Rev. Barry Whitley.

Survivors include daughter, Carol Crews, and granddaughter, Gabrielle Crews of the home; sister, Norma Talbert Almond of Albemarle; brother-in-law, Sam Mullis; niece, Sarah Burris; nephew, Sam Mullis II.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hinsdale family.
