George Barnhardt

George Edward "Shot" Barnhardt, 82, of Concord, NC passed away on Thursday February 03, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born in Cabarrus County to the late Joseph Lawrence and Chloe Joyner Barnhardt. Also proceeded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Mr. Barnhardt graduated from Concord High School and later received his degree in accounting from Kings College. He served in the US Navy. He was an inspector for Fieldcrest Cannon, and was a life time member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Mr. Barnhardt was a member of DAV chapter 27, VFW, and American Legion Post 51. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Friday, February, 04, 2011 from 5:30 until 6:30 PM. Services will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 7 PM, with Father Joseph Dionne C.S.s.R. Survived by: wife, Betty Cook Barnhardt of the home; daughters, Beverly Miller of Concord, Kimberly Wilder of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Debra Barnhardt of Concord; son, Chris Barnhardt of Concord; brother, Mike Barnhardt of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Theresa Fischer of Cape Coral, FL and Patricia Childers of Springfield, VA; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
