George Calvin Daughtry, 71 years of age, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
George was born September 29, 1945 in Concord North Carolina to the late George Calvin Daughtry Sr. and Mildred Sherrill Daughtry.
A graveside service will be Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Mike Parks and Rev. L. D. Aldridge.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Daughtry of Concord; his son, George Martin Daughtry; his daughter, Mary Allison Mewborn; brother, Tommy Daughtry; sister, Sharon and husband Terry Goins; grandchildren, Dylan Stevens, Seth and Kyle Mewborn and his beloved pet dog, Lucy.
George was an avid Nascar fan. He enjoyed fishing, and trips to the mountains and the beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
