George Long, Jr

George Washington Long Jr., 61 years of age, of , passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. Long was born February 20, 1952 in North Carolina to the late George Washington Long Sr. and Mable Pressley Long of Concord. He was also preceded in death by wife, Debbie Jane Long. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Fueral Home Chapel - Concord in officiated by Rev. Buck Canup, Pastor Tim Small, Pastor Terry Stegall. Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery at 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord. Survivors include son, Christopher Long of Kannapolis, NC, son, George Washington Long III, adopted brother Rev. Tim Small. George also leaves three loving sisters, Rebecca (Ira) Shue of Richfield, Lathran (Chub) Helms of Concord and Darlene (Terry) Stegall of Concord; and eleven grandchildren.
