George Rushing, Sr

George Allen Rushing, Sr., 74, of Midland, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast, in Concord, NC. Mr. Rushing was born September 13, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the former Grady Burrett Rushing and Jenny Connell Rushing who preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29, 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Locust, Dr. Kinney Wallace officiating. Survivors include his son, Allen Rushing, of the home; sisters, Edna Moore, Sue Rushing, and Betty Dewberry, all of Charlotte; and step-son, Michael Rushing, of Charlotte.
