Georgia Mizelle

Georgia Mae Mizelle, 81 years of age, of Locust, most recently of Great Falls, Montana, went to be the Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018, while holding her husband, John's hand.

Georgia was born August 1, 1936 in Cabarrus County to the late Otto McLester and the late Novella Rushing McLester.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Huneycutt; and her brother, John McLester.

Survivors include her husband, John Mizelle; daughters, Freda Huneycutt and Sue Henry; and her sister, Opal Horton.

Georgia had a deep love for the Lord.  She enjoyed singing in the choir at church and also teaching Sunday School.  In her spare time, she could be found at local yard sales collecting jewelry, purses and other treasures.  Georgia will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at West Stanly Baptist Church, 24172 NC 24-27 Hwy., Albemarle, NC. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
