Gerald "Fred" Phillips

Gerald (Fred) Phillips, Born in Mitchell, South Dakota, left this world surrounded by his loving family. 

The son of Grace and Roy Phillips was preceded in death by his six brothers and one sister. 

Fred lived a life marked by resilience, humor and a deep love for family. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maureen and their daughter, Michelle. 

Fred's dedication to his country was evident through his four years of service in the United States Air Force. A man of varied interests, Fred was passionate about NASCAR racing and football. Whether cheering for his favorite team or enjoying the roar of engines, Fred's love for these pastimes was apparent. One of Fred's most endearing qualities was his remarkable sense of humor. His quick wit and ability to lighten any situation will be remembered by all who knew him. As we say our goodbyes, we remember Fred not with sorrow but with gratitude for the Joy he brought into our lives.
